Grandma Mary

We got to go to lunch with Grandma Mary, and Ron and Rosalie. Of course Ty has to be a comedian first (who does he get that from?)
But I totally love this picture.
So this is Mary's namesake- and little Mary knows exactly who she is every time I would point to her and ask who she was. They have a pretty great bond.
And then there's Kars and his "beaty eyes". Someday I think he will give me those eyes I see so often!!

The Omaha Zoo

The Omaha Zoo is the 2nd or 3rd largest zoo in the country- and it's AWESOME!!! It is always a MUST when we head out there to go. And of course the kids love it. This is the Desert Dome, and they also have underneath this big ball the cave and the swamps. You could spend all day just here. Which we pretty much did. We didn't have time to go through everything else!

My son the model...
Well- how about that? The same pic twice! Sorry!
The kids were so excited- they got to help feed the warthogs.
They loved being right there where you could feel like you were swimming with the penguins.
The Aquarium is my favorite place out there. They have EVERYTHING!
The penguins are hilarious. You watch them jumping in and out, and they swim right up to you. There are tons and tons of them. You can actually watch it on their website- it's cool.
Then you go into the tunnel O Sharks... where they swim right over you and by you and everything. It's great.
Mary loved this fish. Or I guess I should say that the fish loved Mary. It just sat there watching her.

I love this pic- her reflection!!

It was SO COLD that day- windy and rainy- but still worth it!! We went out on the bridge to feed all the fish... they loved that...

This is the rainforest- it's HUGE!! And very humid- especially from being outside. All my pics are fogged up!!

I wish we would have had more time to see everything- we didn't even see half of it. But we sure had a blast!!!

SWIMMING!!

My camera kept getting fogged up... so sorry about that....

Mary and Karson pretty much just ran away from dad the whole time...

He got her!!!

So after the wedding and before the reception they had kite flying. Figures that the whole trip we were out there it was non stop hard core wind. Nope- no wind when you need it!!

My dad is actually a pro, though. He knows the "art" of kite flying.

The whole reason we went out there...

So this is the happy couple... Scott and Kregg met when they worked together at Dillards some 12 years ago. Scott actually moved out to Salt Lake while we were dating and lived with Kregg until we got married. Man- watch out when these two get together... you thought Kregg was insane already... anyway.... It was such a beautiful wedding. Very spiritual and the chapel was just beautiful- along with Angie! These two are perfect for eachother.
My husband is such a spaz...
Mary was having a hard time not being with him all the time.
Isn't he a hunk????

Oh man...

So when I picked up Ty from the bus yesterday, he sits down and says, "Mom- some girls were trying to kiss me today. But I was TOO FAST!! They didn't get me! But they got Ezekiel!!! Ew!!"

This was another one of those days you know would come someday... just not this soon... I have a feeling this is not going to end any time soon!

The Clark County Fair

Of course, as always, the animals were the highlight of our trip to the fair. The kids loved seeing pig after pig, cow after cow... and whatever makes my kids happy makes me happy! The fair is one of those things that has pretty much the VERY bottom of his list- but he was a great sport. We went first thing on Saturday morning to Logandale (about 30-45 minutes away), and it was insane! Kregg's favorite part of the day was seeing the massive amounts of cars (from Logandale to the freeway, at least 10 miles) waiting to go to the fair. You could tell they were all going to be a while. These small towns really take their fairs seriously! Funny as heck.

Mary and Ty were both a little weary about getting on the cow, although Ty managed to smile...
Karson, although he looks drunk, had a great time with all of these science booths. Other than the animals, the boys coulda stayed there all day.

This picture just cracks me up. Ty informed me after I took this picture that there was a guy in there. I never thought the day would come when he would figure out how these things that are so big get around. My little guy's growing up!! *sniff sniff*

Mesquite Days are coming up in a couple weeks- and that is what I'm really excited for. They have a parade, and fireworks, and a carnival. I love these small town celebrations. It would be a really fun weekend if anyone wants to come out!

AAAAAHHH!!! BIRD!!!!!!!!!!!

So Ty and Mary opened the door to go into the backyard today and...surprise! As soon as they opened the door a pigeon flew in!!! Scared the tar out of Ty! After taking a tour of my living room and kitchen it decided to land in Mary's room... I can't even write this without laughing hysterically, but I did scream as it was flying over me. I was a little freaked out- I had to go get my neighbor Jared to come over and see if he could get it outside. So he comes over- does a little whistle, and it flies right out the door. It took Jared a total of about 4 seconds. Too funny!

Let's go strollin'

Ty decided he wanted to try biking without training wheels. We haven't given him a whole lot of time to go bike riding so I think it might take a few times! But he's not going to waste any time trying!
Karson decided to try some roller skating. He actually picked up on it really well!!

Mary thought she could try the bike, too. It was kinda funny... I just looked over at her and she had the helmet on trying to get on the bike. Hilarious.

Play til you can't play no more...
