Coach Pitch

Ty started his season of Baseball last week. He's on a great team with his friend Stetson's dad coaching the team. Ty has a lot of practicing to do- but games twice a week will probably help!

Doin' the Dishes...

This is how it usually goes... Mary reaching and Ty and Karson getting mad at her.
This is one rare moment where they are actually cleaning my dishes... and doing it together...

Our New Pets

So our boys have been begging for hermit crabs for the last few months. So we finally broke down and got a couple of them. Karson named his Mr. Krabs (of course...) and Ty wanted to name his Mr. K (short for Mr. Krabs), but then switched to Sebastian. Mr. Krabs is really active... he's always all over the place. Sebastian is quite a bit more laid back. Then there is Mary, who is just like Darla on "Finding Nemo". "WAKE UP FISHY!!"... as she's shaking the tank... but I think she is learning.

Sorry- I know these pics are awful- but it will give you kind of an idea of what they look like...

More excitement at our house...

Well- I smelled something funny so I walked into the kitchen... Low and behold there is smoke everywhere, the microwave on fire, a can opener in it, and a little girl giving me puppy dog eyes. What am I going to do with her???? We were lucky that the microwave didn't explode or catch her on fire or anything. I guess I can't leave her alone for 2 seconds!!!

Our Iowa Trip

So this pic was taken in 2005 on our last Iowa trip... This trip was a little different. It was a lot longer drive (19 hours), a lot shorter trip (Wednesday to Sunday), and my kids barely slept at all the whole road trip! We went out there because one of Kregg's best friends was getting married. And my parents caravaned (how the heck do you spell that?) with us. We definitely didn't get to see everyone we wanted to see or do everything we wanted to do, but we were for sure busy!! I TOTALLY slacked on my picture taking- I feel bad- but here are some pics that we did take.

Grandpa Ron and Rosalie's House

We got to go visit Kregg's dad- it was so nice! My kids were a little crazy... but they had a great time! They have 2 cats- so Ty was trying to entice this one out from underneath the bed with his running bracelet.
This is Kregg's step-mom Rosalie. She is so sweet! I really enjoy talking to her. She is genuine in every way- and my kids loved talking to her about the cats.

Ron is such a great guy, too. He knew exactly what would get my kids attention- and they loved it! Ron and I have the same taste in music- so I love talking to him about it. Although we really didn't get to talk all that much about it this trip.

Mary was obsessed with this door.

So much for a nice picture of a loving brother and sister...

Kregg's Mom

So while we were out there we went to Kregg's moms grave with his dad. Kregg's mom has actually been gone 9 years yesterday. I only knew her for about 10 months, but WOW was she a great lady. I can't wait to talk to her again on the other side- and thank her. She and Ron raised such a great son. On my wedding day I remember her taking Kregg aside and pretty much threatened him to make sure that he treated me like a queen. And he does- every day. I wish she was around to be with my kids... but I know that she is watching over them. What a great woman that she was!

Grandma Mary

We got to go to lunch with Grandma Mary, and Ron and Rosalie. Of course Ty has to be a comedian first (who does he get that from?)
But I totally love this picture.
So this is Mary's namesake- and little Mary knows exactly who she is every time I would point to her and ask who she was. They have a pretty great bond.
And then there's Kars and his "beaty eyes". Someday I think he will give me those eyes I see so often!!

The Omaha Zoo

The Omaha Zoo is the 2nd or 3rd largest zoo in the country- and it's AWESOME!!! It is always a MUST when we head out there to go. And of course the kids love it. This is the Desert Dome, and they also have underneath this big ball the cave and the swamps. You could spend all day just here. Which we pretty much did. We didn't have time to go through everything else!

My son the model...
Well- how about that? The same pic twice! Sorry!
The kids were so excited- they got to help feed the warthogs.
They loved being right there where you could feel like you were swimming with the penguins.
The Aquarium is my favorite place out there. They have EVERYTHING!
The penguins are hilarious. You watch them jumping in and out, and they swim right up to you. There are tons and tons of them. You can actually watch it on their website- it's cool.
Then you go into the tunnel O Sharks... where they swim right over you and by you and everything. It's great.
Mary loved this fish. Or I guess I should say that the fish loved Mary. It just sat there watching her.

I love this pic- her reflection!!

It was SO COLD that day- windy and rainy- but still worth it!! We went out on the bridge to feed all the fish... they loved that...

This is the rainforest- it's HUGE!! And very humid- especially from being outside. All my pics are fogged up!!

I wish we would have had more time to see everything- we didn't even see half of it. But we sure had a blast!!!

SWIMMING!!

My camera kept getting fogged up... so sorry about that....

Mary and Karson pretty much just ran away from dad the whole time...

He got her!!!

So after the wedding and before the reception they had kite flying. Figures that the whole trip we were out there it was non stop hard core wind. Nope- no wind when you need it!!

My dad is actually a pro, though. He knows the "art" of kite flying.

The whole reason we went out there...

So this is the happy couple... Scott and Kregg met when they worked together at Dillards some 12 years ago. Scott actually moved out to Salt Lake while we were dating and lived with Kregg until we got married. Man- watch out when these two get together... you thought Kregg was insane already... anyway.... It was such a beautiful wedding. Very spiritual and the chapel was just beautiful- along with Angie! These two are perfect for eachother.
My husband is such a spaz...
Mary was having a hard time not being with him all the time.
Isn't he a hunk????
